Midway?s popular MORTAL KOMBAT fighting series redefined the fighting genre, and now the series is poised to wrap up its current storyline with MORTAL KOMBAT: ARMAGEDDON for the PS2, the last MORTAL KOMBAT game for the current generation of consoles. The game contains a massive list of characters, many different stages, and a final look at who lives and who dies in MORTAL KOMBAT. Armageddon includes over 60 MORTAL KOMBAT characters from every previous game, including fan favorites like Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Raiden, and many, many more.
Each character has two different fighting styles plus weapons, and players can switch styles at any point during battle. A character creation system is also included, allowing gamers to make their own MORTAL KOMBAT fighter, even choosing their character?s fighting styles and weapons. Characters can once again execute jumping maneuvers, and a new parry system is also featured.
Fatalities have been revamped, too, allowing players to execute their own fatalities. The stages, which include everything from Goro?s Lair from the first game to stages from MORTAL KOMBAT: Deception, once again include death traps and weapons that players can make use of to eliminate their foes. Verses mode, Konquest mode, online battles, extras, and more round out MORTAL KOMBAT: ARMAGEDDON.
