Control powerful robots and battle to control space in Altus and Banpresto's SUPER ROBOT TAISEN: ORIGINAL GENERATION for the Game Boy Advance. The game features anime-style character designs and dozens of different mecha, all of which can be customized in many different ways. In the far future, humanity has ventured froth Earth and entered space, creating the Space Era.
However, when two meteoroids devastate Earth, man?s technological progress comes to a halt. However, the meteoroid strikes lead to the discovery of new technology, technology that may hint at an alien invasion. Humans quickly build powerful mechas based on this alien technology to defend earth.
Players can choose to follow either Ryusei or Kyosuke, both mecha pilots, as they defend the planet. The game mixes RPG and strategy elements, allowing players to customize their mecha while battling and gaining experience. This takes place during the maintenance sections of the game.
Once players have upgraded their robots, its off to the combat rounds, where players battle it out against others. Story sequences appear between some of the battles, moving the plot along and explaining the outcome of the battle. Combat takes place on a standard grid in which players can move, attack, and use special abilities.
Each mecha has its own powers ranging from stat increasing spells and healing abilities to powerful attacks. If you like robots, you?re sure to enjoy SUPER ROBOT TAISEN: ORIGINAL GENERATION. The huge customization options and intense storyline make it a sci-fi hit.
